On 11 December, 2014, Vilnius University and UAB “CSC Baltic” began their official partnership by signing a bilateral cooperation agreement.
A cooperation agreement was signed by the acting Rector of Vilnius University prof. Jūras Banys and the managing director of “CSC Baltic” Antanas Uršulis. The aim of this agreement is to promote the integration of business into studies within the areas of information system engineering, project management, solution architecture, IT security. This bilateral partnership would also facilitate the process of organizing students’ professional practice and realization of various social campaigns, projects and scientific activities.
Kaunas Faculty of Humanities has already created close collaborative ties with “CSC Baltic”, since a number of the faculty’s alumni pursue their professional career in this international IT company. Last year, the company established an award for the best final BA and MA theses. Two graduates of the faculty were rewarded with considerable prizes for their final projects in the areas of business informatics and business information systems. Moreover, the company regularly supports the faculty’s events and initiatives (the establishment of “CSC Lounge”, sponsorship for the Jubilee Regatta “Nelauk, Plauk! (En. “Don’t Fail, Sail!”).
