studiju paroda kaune 2015On January 30, VU Kaunas Faculty of Humanities participated at Universities Fair in Kaunas. The annual fair provides pupils, teachers and others the possibility to get acquainted with the Lithuanian system of higher education and to “scan” the universities and their study programmes.

Pupils could talk personally with the heads of the departments, professors and students about various study programmes, subjects taught, career prospects and admission requirements. The representatives of VU Kaunas Faculty of Humanities presented all the BA study programmes carried out in the faculty. Schoolchildren also showed interest in two new programmes that are planned to be launched: Applied Systems of Finance and Accounting and Business Management.

Students of the faculty were of great help in the fair, since they provided the information not only on the studies, but also on their  extra-curriculum activities. The interest in various study programmes was so great that almost all information booklets were given out. “I am going to choose Cultural Management studies at your faculty because I really like organising various events. I hope that I will find myself in this area. What’s more, I felt a good atmosphere when I was talking with the students”, Rasa from Kaunas said. “If all goes well I would like to study Finance Informatics. You will definitely get a job after finishing this programme” a 12th grader Vytautas stated. During the fair, two third year students from a BA study programme “Audiovisual Translation”, Adas Viliušis and Dovilė Hofmanaitė, presented a report “Pasiduoti negalima išversti” (en. “Translate Impossible to Give up”), meanwhile the presentation of the whole faculty was made on stage.
