Highlights of the 12th Annual Conference on Sustainable Development

12 gronsko konferencijaThe very end of the year 2015 at the Faculty was marked by a traditional conference for PhD and Master students. The organizers of this international Prof. Dr. Vladas Gronskas Young Researchers scientific conference “Development in Economics: Theory and Practice” (12 December, 2015) aimed at contributing to a reliable, secure, effective and sustainable development of economy, economics and business, thus they created a medium for young scholars to discuss, search for best solutions and share their experiences. Not only did they have the opportunity to present reports but also to discuss the latest scientific trends, achievements and shortages as well as to get in contact with colleagues working in the same field.

 

gronsko konf khfWhat is more, the organizing committee decided to invite pupils from different schools who show interest in economics, finance, management, business administration, marketing so that they could enrich their knowledge and be introduced to the subtleties of studies and science as early as possible.

  • Aida Barkauskaitė . “Deposit Insurance Sytem Risk Assesment Importance in European Union”.
  • Giedrė Gudaitytė. “The Economic Legacy of a Mega Sport Event: The Case of 2007-2013 Eurobasket”.
  • Laura Markūnaitė. “Social Responsible Marketing Communications Effect for Social Business”.
  • Julija Paliukėnaitė . “V. Kernagis Song Melodies and their Interval Sequences”.

  • The conference was held for the 12th time
  • For the first time in 12 years it was labelled as international
  • 60 participants registered to the conference (which makes this year’s conference the most active one in twelve years), one fifth of whom were foreigners.
  • The conference welcomed participants from 7 foreign countries: France, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Bulgaria, Turkey and Mongolia.
  • Relations with universities in Estonia, France, Poland and Latvia were established. 

The programme of the conference

For the first time the conference was managed in two languages: Lithuanian and English. Articles prepared in English will be published in a peer-reviewed electronic journal “Development in Economics: Theory and Practice. A Collection of Scientific Articles” (Lith: „Ūkio plėtra: teorija ir praktika. Mokslinių straipsnių rinkinys“).
