“Is it possible to describe my studies in Sweden via Erasmus+ programme in one short message? Definitely not! How to fit all the UNREAL and SUPER FANTASTIC months into one page?! Yet, I will try my very best to fulfill this assignment” , says Girvydas Kulakauskas a third year student of Audiovisual Translation, who has just come back from a semester long visit to Umea University (Sweden).
So, Erasmus+ is an incredible opportunity to:
- Meet new people (and find friends from all over the world, e.g. now I have friends from Mexico and New Zealand). After a week or so in the programme we’d already formed a small group of people who were cooking together, travelling together. And now some of them are even coming to visit me here in Lithuania and that is simply amazing!
- Sightsee some incredible places in this region. Since I was staying in Sweden (and it is a very beautiful country), I also got the chance to visit a neighbouring country, Norway! What is more, some of my friends went to Lapland to see Santa Claus and try dog sledding.
- Finally, Erasmus+ is an incredible opportunity to try things you’ve never tried before and to have fun! Of course, studies are also important and they should be the priority. But they are never an obstacle to have fun experiences! Erasmus+ has it all!
For me, Erasmus+ programme was an opportunity to experience freedom, to choose to travel alone without knowing anyone, to make new friends and contacts (and it is just wonderful)!
