Vilnius University launches a call for Vilnius university young researchers’ grant. This financial instrument aims to encourage interdisciplinary collaboration among emerging scholars from at least two academic units of Vilnius University and to strengthen their abilities to implement high level research, innovation and cultural development projects. We kindly remind you the call is targeting young researchers, doctoral and master students. Bachelor students may be included in project implementation group as group members. Successful applicants will receive funding for research implementation in year 2024 – 2025.
Call is open until 18 March 2024.
Project requirements:
- These projects should be implemented by scholars of at least two different research fields, the projects should be implemented in at least two academic units.
- Project duration: from 22 of April 2024 until 31 December 2025.
- The maximum amount per project is 18 000 Eur (up to 8 000 Eur for the year 2024; up to 10 000 Eur for the year 2025).
Other requirements:
- The project manager (including group members) can participate in only one project of this call.
- The funds of the financed project will be allocated to the Vilnius University department that submitted the application.
- Departments cooperating in the project provide the applicants with the necessary assistance in project administration.
The applications may be divided into groups during the evaluation:
- Young researchers who obtained their degree no earlier than 5 years before the last day of the call for applications, as well as doctoral students, master's students;
- Young scientists who have obtained a scientific degree between 5 and 10 years before the last day of the call for applications.
Project manager and group members are employed in the department where they study or work, if a salary is planned in the project budget.
Project applications are submitted through the “Avilys” document management system of Vilnius University.
Project managers and group members who have received funding for projects can apply for funding to other external sources of funding.
