Call for Postdoctoral Fellowship at Kaunas Faculty of Vilnius University

The aim of the postdoctoral fellowship is to encourage innovative scientific research and provide young scientists with an opportunity to develop individual academic career as well as join the academic community of Vilnius University.

Vilnius University enables young scientists with a PhD from other educational institutions to participate in scientific research of the university; to gain research skills and scientific knowledge under the supervision of the scientific supervisor; to access and use the facilities for scientific research. The fellowship usually lasts for two years and may include topics of social, physical, technological sciences and humanities.

A fellow is regarded as a researcher with a doctoral degree awarded within the last 5 years (but not before 13 June, 2012) by a Lithuanian or foreign educational institution.

The State Commission of the Lithuanian Language. Bendrinės kalbos vieta mentaliniame lietuvių kalbos žemėlapyje. Standart Language location in the Mental Map Lithuanian language. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Daiva Aliūkaitė 2014—2016. Nr. K-5/2014.In 2014 carried out this project activity: Development of the research methodology of the geolinguistic competences; analysis of the materials; methodological seminar “Standart Language Location in the Mental Map of Lithuanian Language. The theoretical and methodological approaches” (18 September, 2014).

 

National Research Project

Research Council of Lithuania. Impact of Organizational Ethics on Transformation of Organizational Innovativeness to Sustainable Innovations (No. VP1-3.1-ŠMM-07-K-03-042). Assoc. Prof. Dr. R. Pučėtaitė 2013–2015.5 research articles with the project results were published in international journals. International Research Project
FP7  Marie Curie IRSES scheme

Pro-ecological Restructuring of Jobs - PRORES (No. PIRSES-GA-2010-269251). Prof. Dr. V. Jurėnienė is a coordinator in Lithuania, senior scholar, (2011-2015).Country analysis with respect to sustainable development policies and actions has been carried out. The monograph is being prepared by Jurėniene Population: Lithuania, Ukraine. The team has carried out all the plans of interns as set in the project. Also it accepted and provided conditions for the internship of interns from the IWEIRN (Kiev Academy of Sciences) and NUFT (the National University of Food Technologies).

 

Scientific journals

This is a journal that is published in English in the field of Social Sciences; since 2005, it has been included into the international Thomson Scientific database ISI WOS (Web of Science). Senior editor – Prof. Dr. (HP) Dalia Štreimikienė (Vilnius University, Lithuania). Publishers-partners: University of Latvia and Brno University of Technology (Czech Republic). The journal is also cited in international databases JEL (JEL on CD, e-JEL), IBSS, SCOPUS, EBSCO, Cabell’s Directory of Publishing Opportunities.

The periodical publishes original scholarly articles written in English, Lithuanian, Polish and Russian that correspond to the main humanitarian research fields of the faculties: linguistic researches, issues of literary narratives and contexts, influence of advertising discourse, theory and practice of translation. “Respectus Philologicus” publishes scholarly articles, reviews, overviews, and discussions of philological research in the region. The focalization of the journal is conduced to closer cooperation on its pages all scholars who are interested in different facets of and different language units with world and its place in the life of language community. The journal is supposed to be not only regional but also of interdisciplinary character with linguistics integrating different disciplines. The leading trend is supposed to be the analysis of different discursive practices. Consequently, the journal mainly concentrates on cognitive analysis of discourses (fiction, political, scientific, etc.), cognitive strategies of translation, rhetorical problems of communication, semiotic analysis of a text, analysis of political, social and cultural phenomena in different social environments.
