Global Enterprise Born from a Dream

today translations 2015 vukhfFounders and leaders of the internationally acknowledged enterprises “Today Translations” and “Today Advisory“ (http://www.todaytranslations.com/  and http://www.todayadvisory.com/) Jurga Žilinskienė  and David Clarke have visited our faculty and held lectures for three days for students of various study programmes. Guests from London had an open discussion on the experience in establishing and expanding an enterprise, which once a dream turned into a global phenomenon now comprising 2600 linguists all over the world who translate to/from more than 200 languages.

The Faculty develops relations with Ukraine

ukraina vukhfVU Kaunas Faculty of Humanities and the Ukrainian universities being under a two-year-long international project PRORES have developed a productive academic partnership when an important cooperation agreement between VU and Ukraine’s National University of Food Technologies (NUFT) was signed last year.

Erasmus+ Programme Offered the Most Memorable Training

erasmus khf RumunijaI’m a third year cultural management student. Every year I find more and more opportunities to put myself to the test, get to know foreign cultures and pick up new ideas. This year I went to Romania, Craiova for a week taking part in Erasmus+ programme „Delegate Ownership on Social Responsibility“. I can honestly say  it was easily the best and the most memorable training. I have taken part in many various seminars both in Lithuania and abroad, however, none of them created such a lasting value.

Universities Fair 2015: Study at Vilnius University in Kaunas!

The annual fair provides pupils, teachers and others the possibility to get acquainted with the Lithuanian system of higher education and to “scan” the universities and their study programmes.

Expert’s View on Discrimination in Advertising

diskriminacija reklamojeVU KHF Department of Lithuanian Philology organised a seminar “Discriminatory Advertising: Lithuanian and Foreign Examples, Legal Regulation, Good Practice”. The seminar was held in Jablonskis auditorium on January 18 by Valdas Dambrava, the Adviser for Public Relations at the Office of the Equal Opportunities Ombudsman who had been working there since 2004. He gave a number of practical examples related with the requirements of equal rights, exposing the advertisements that may discriminate one social group or another.

The Faculty Researcher’s Visit to the Netherlands
