Professor Virginija Jurėnienė and Associate Professor Aistė Urbonienė are sure that the cross-European opportunity provided by the Erasmus program is a perfect way to not only deepen one’s professional knowledge and acquire new skills, but also get acquainted with another country’s culture and broaden the outlook.

Vilnius University will shed light on Kaunas Old Town

50 khf vuThis autumn marks the 50th anniversary for the only Vilnius University faculty in a different city, i.e. Kaunas Faculty of Humanities (VU KFH). The Faculty’s community who have cherished the Alma Mater traditions in Kaunas since 1964 will meet this anniversary in an unconventional way. Multilingual Multilogue at Kaunas Faculty of Humanities

zmogus kalbos erdveje 2014On May 16-17, the 8th international scientific conference “Man in the Space of Language” took place at the Faculty; the conference is organised by the Department of Foreign Languages. The conference had over 60 participants from all over the world: United Arab Emirates, France, Turkey, Taiwan, Iran, Georgia, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Ukraine, Latvia and Lithuania.

stonegenge ulvydieneOn invitation by Professor at the University of Leicester (UK) Kirsten Malmkjær, Professor Dr. Loreta Ulvydienė (Department of Germanic Philology, VU Kaunas Faculty of Humanities) whose scientific interests involve intercultural communication and translation studies went on a 3-week internship to the United Kingdom.
