Conference topics:
- Contemporary strategies of urban development
- Culture and education in urban development
- Creative city: theory and practice
- Social innovations in modern cities
- Urban communities: communal identities and urban development
- Public spaces and urban development
The list of the main topics is not limited, presentations on related topics are also welcome.
A planned length of presentations is 15-20 min. followed by 10 min. discussions.
The language of the conference is English.
The conference will host a doctoral seminar on November 19, a round-table discussion on strategies of cities on November 21 and artists‘ works on November 20-21 as side events.
The conference rooms will be equipped with computers, internet access and multimedia.
Extended abstracts will be published in an electronic collection of abstracts with ISBN, and the best conference papers will be published in a reviewed periodical issue Culture and Creativity with ISSN.
Side events
November 19, 2014. Doctoral seminar for doctoral and advanced Master students interested in the intersection between creativity and city. The seminar will provide feedback on students‘ work in respect of feasibility, original contribution and methodology.
November 21, 2014. A round table discussion on development and realization of strategies for advancement of cities, with particular attention to old town and with participation of representatives of the city communities and policy makers. Policy makers are invited to register their interest in the event by filling in a registration form. Participation is free of charge.
November 20-21, 2014. Artists‘ works: Performances, exhibitions and installations related to the conference topics. Artists interested in presenting their works should send a concept note when registering to the event (2000 words). When registering please mark your proposal as „Artist‘s work“. Participation is free of charge.
